There have been defined the reasons and peculiarities of financial and economic crisis emergence in Ukraine; the opinions of some economists about essence and sources of crisis phenomena have been considered. The analysis of crisis consequences in real, financial sectors as well as in households has been conducted. The ways of crisis consequences overcoming using adequate instruments and methods provided the strengthening of the state's role have been substantiated.
